India, Russia Conclude 14th Edition of Naval Exercise INDRA 2025

Date:

NEW DELHI — The Indian and Russian navies concluded the 14th edition of their bilateral naval exercise, INDRA 2025, on April 2, following nearly a week of maritime drills to strengthen cooperation and enhance interoperability between the two forces.

Held from March 28 to April 2, the exercise featured a series of complex maneuvers, simulated combat operations, and coordinated drills designed to improve joint responses to common maritime threats. Naval officials said the activities highlighted the combined combat capabilities of both navies and underscored their shared commitment to maritime security.

“This edition of INDRA achieved its aim of enhanced jointmanship and reinforced our collective dedication to preserving maritime order and promoting global peace and stability,” the Indian Navy said in a statement.

Participating crews gained operational experience while exchanging best practices and deepening their understanding of each other’s tactical doctrines. The drills also bolstered the forces’ ability to work seamlessly in high-stakes, complex maritime scenarios.

First launched in 2003, the INDRA exercises have remained a key pillar of India-Russia defense ties, with both nations reaffirming the need for collaborative efforts to tackle evolving maritime security challenges.
