Gulab Bhavnani

Gulab is Program Director for WHEELS – a public-private partnership program launched by Capital IIT Alumni Association, designed to promote social entrepreneurship and encourage skilled professionals to spawn ventures to create jobs and contribute to the improvement of lives of citizens in the US and in India. The six tracks of WHEELS – Water, Health, Energy, Education, Lifestyles and Security – provide a powerful platform to attract world-class talent to promote technology enabled philanthropy in creative and affordable ways to benefit populations.
Gulab Bhavnani is a social entrepreneur currently serving as secretary of WHELS Global Foundation and as CEO of a call center consulting firm Anchor Systems Corp. His career spans commercial as well as entrepreneurial activities. He has years of varied experience at IBM where he developed cost-effective outsourcing solutions for large and medium sized businesses globally.
As an entrepreneur, he launched and ran Anchor Systems Corp, a successful call center products company delivering technology and consulting services to commercial and government clients.
Mr. Bhavnani serves on the board of the Capital IIT Alumni Association, and is on the PanIIT Leadership Council. He also is active as an independent consultant, specializing in outsourcing.
Gulab Bhavnani graduated from IIT Kharagpur, and started his technical career with IBM Corporation in Calcutta, India.
