Chicago, IL – Indian Americans came out in droves to protest against Pakistan and its ally China in aiding and abetting terrorist organizations like Pakistan-based Islamist group Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) which said it was behind the deadly Pulwama attack.
In one of the largest rallies in downtown Chicago on the famed Michigan Avenue Corridor, and down a mile away on Erie Street, Indian Americans protested in front of both Pakistani and Chinese consulate offices. The organizers also handed over memorandums to Consuls of both countries Pakistan and China, urging their governments to stop funding and sheltering terrorists.
More than 400 motivated Indian Americans assembled in the bitter cold to show strength of unity and solidarity with the fallen soldiers of the deadliest militant attack on Indian forces in Kashmir since the insurgency against Indian rule began in 1989.
Welcoming the outpouring support of the Indian Americans, Bharat Barai, one of the organizers chastised “Pakistan for their continued mayhem with their murderous rampage in India repeatedly.” Other prominent organizers included JD Diganvker, Nirav Patel, Hemant Patel, Shamkanth Sheth, Prasad Yelalmanchi, Amar Upadhyay, Nitin Garg, Pandya, Chirayu Parikh, Amitabh Mittal, Harish Kolasani, Sanhita Agnihotri and Keerthi Kumar Ravoori.
