Baltimore, Maryland – After spending more than 40 years in the USA, Manjit Singh Kairon decided to leave the country and go back to his birthplace Punjab in India.

At a farewell party, hosted by Punjabi Club, the community praised his dedication to serve the community and his readiness to always help the needy.

Dilvir Singh noted that Kairon on various occasions and in different zones, made his best efforts to bring the community together.

Calling him a “Community Politician”, Gurpreet Singh Sunny praised Kairon’s role to keep the community in one group.

On a personal note, I was at a loss for words as I went down memory lane to reflect years of Kairon’s efforts to strengthen community togetherness and seva (service) to Sikh religion.

On his part, Kairon reflected on his early life when at the age of seven, he decided to start seva of the community and at the young age of 22, became chief of a Gurdwara. Mentioning his failing health, Kairon explained his decision to leave America.

There were more than 50 personalities from various communities attending the farewell party at the Taj Hotel where his son Vicky was also present.

Baldev singh ,Jassi Dhaliwal, Teetu, Surjit Soni,Villee singh, Goldy,Kewal Singh, Kirandeep Bhola, Jassa Singh, Avtar bring,Charanjit Singh, Chanchal Singh, Gurdeb Singh, Dilvir Singh, K K Sidhu, Ajit Sahi, Jinder Singh Brar Major Singh Malli, Surinder Sandhu among others graced the occasion.
